DUCO shows new façade solutions at Fensterbau Frontale 2016
The annual event for German architects, professional contractors and manufacturers working in windows, doors and façade constructions will once again soon be upon us. During Fensterbau, which will be held from the 16th to the 19th of March 2016 in Nuremberg, DUCO (hall 7, stand 134) will be exhibiting their glass-replacing ventilation hatch and latest developments in architectural solar shading.
Fensterbau Frontale in Nuremberg is the showcase event for innovations in the field of building skins. As a ventilation and solar shading specialist, DUCO will also be contributing with several innovations. The focus for these four days will be the DucoGrille NightVent, the DucoSlide BiFold and QuadraFold, and the DucoSun Cubic Wood.
DucoGrille NightVent: efficient and natural cooling
The DucoGrille NightVent is a glass-replacing ventilation hatch (for glass thicknesses of 26 to 54 mm) shielded from the outside by an aesthetic window grille and is also available in a burglary-resistant version. Thanks to the flat inside panel the DucoGrille NightVent boasts a sleek design. The ventilation hatch can also be used to aid natural ventilation during the day. So the large volume flow rate (up to 369 l/s*m) can provide efficient cooling for any building.
DucoSlide BiFold and QuadraFold: the new trend in the world of architectural solar shading
DUCO has developed a dynamic form of architectural external solar shading. Its folding panels accentuate the façade of any building and there is now also a noticeable aesthetic difference when in the open or shut position. The manually operated panels are made out of solid aluminium blades or a perforated aluminium plate to block out sunlight effectively. In the DucoSlide range, there is now the choice to have either single (BiFold) or double (QuadraFold) folding panels so a fitting solution is always available.
DucoSun Cubic Wood: solar shading with sleek, rectangular, wooden louvre blades
DUCO did not lose sight of the architectural and ecological aspect in the development of the DucoSun Cubic Wood. The blades are made from Western Red Cedar: a light, resilient and sustainable wood affording excellent protection against rot and weathering. This type of solar shading is available as a fixed or movable system, whereby the aesthetic, rectangular louvre blades can be installed horizontally as well as vertically.
