Bouvrie, Bruges - 102 apartments and 25 homes breathing smart with the MVHR-unit DucoBox Energy Comfort
Just a stone's throw from the historic city centre of Bruges, Bouvrie is taking shape: a large-scale, climate-conscious residential development comprising 102 apartments, 25 family homes, 8 compact starter homes and an office space, all on a 11,700 m² site.
Sustainability is built into every layer — from the largest residential borehole energy field in West Flanders (completed in 2024) to the mechanical ventilation with heat recovery supplying every unit with fresh, conditioned air.
Ventilation at scale
For the ventilation of this demanding project, the DucoBox Energy Comfort was the system of choice - an MVHR unit (Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery) that combines comfort, energy performance and ease of installation.
The video below captures the current construction phase: the laying of ductwork and the integration of ventilation units throughout the building. A project of this scale demands reliable technology and seamless on-site coordination.
Delivered by Juvah
