Acoustic louvre wall system for the Colt Frankfurt 3 Data Centre

Project

For the construction of the Colt Frankfurt 3 Data Centre in Sossenheim, DUCO was selected to supply an acoustic louvre wall on the roof of the new hyperscale facility.

The site is built to Colt Tier 3 specifications and will provide 32.4 MW of IT power across 17,500 m² of gross floor area.

Challenge

Contractor Schlicher Süd required the façade elements to be delivered fully pre-assembled, allowing fast and straightforward installation onto the steel structure on site.

Product & Solution

The project uses DucoWall Acoustic 300, an acoustic louvred wall system made from aluminium extrusion profiles. The system features a double row of louvres, internally lined with non-combustible mineral wool, achieving a noise reduction of 17 dB. The aluminium louvres click onto synthetic louvre holders, ensuring efficient assembly and stable installation.

TFor local production and pre-assembly, DUCO collaborated with regional partner Anfindo, based near Frankfurt.

Outcome

Assembly began at the end of September, and the first elements were installed in mid-October. In total, approximately 2,000 m² of custom acoustic façade elements will be supplied.
