The DucoVent Family - Smart inlet and outlet valves
Ventilation is only truly good when you don’t notice it. No rushing airflow that drowns out conversation. No conspicuous grille breaking up a clean ceiling line. No complex system that takes installers hours to commission. That is precisely the philosophy behind The DucoVent Family — a range of four valves that combines aesthetics, acoustic comfort and ease of installation in a way the market has never seen before.
Below, we introduce each valve: what it does, who it’s designed for, and why it makes the difference in your project.
DucoVent Comfort - The efficient all-rounder for serial projects
Developers and contractors know the problem: dozens, sometimes hundreds of valves that need to be set correctly. Every valve that requires extra attention costs time — and time is money.
The DucoVent Comfort has been designed to solve this problem structurally. This valve combines inlet and outlet in a single product and handles up to 75 m³/h of air - the highest flow rate in its category. But the real trump card is the smart copy function: set one valve correctly and simply copy that setting to all other units. This delivers significant time savings on large-scale projects.
Technical distinctions:
✓ Easy installation thanks to the rubber mounting ring for an airtight connection
✓ 11 adjustment settings for precise fine-tuning, both in advance and during installation
✓ Minimal air resistance for energy-efficient operation
✓ Maximum flow rate: 75 m³/h — inlet and outlet through the same valve
The DucoVent Comfort is the ideal choice for large-scale house building, apartment projects and other applications where speed and consistency of installation are a priority. A perfect complement to all DUCO ventilation systems.
DucoVent Design AK - Aluminium craftsmanship that effaces itself
Architects and interior architects know: a valve that stands out is a valve that fails. The DucoVent Design AK understands that principle and takes it to a new level.
This aluminium valve is available in five different cover plates - square (standard and XL), rounded corners (standard and XL) and round - allowing it to blend effortlessly into any interior, whether a sleek loft, a classic villa or a contemporary office building. Thanks to its clean design, the valve integrates almost invisibly into wall or ceiling.
New and versatile: the DucoVent Design AK can now also be used as an inlet valve — the round and XL versions are particularly well suited to this. A single valve is therefore sufficient for both inlet and outlet applications.
Technical distinctions:
✓ Magnetic strips on the cover plates: fast, tool-free fitting and removal
✓ Acoustic rings for optimal sound attenuation
✓ Steplessly adjustable cone via spindle with lock nut for precise fine-tuning
✓ Cleaning possible without disturbing the settings
✓ Suitable for both wall and ceiling mounting
✓ Available in 5 variants
For architects and specifiers, the DucoVent Design AK has become an argument for — not in spite of — ventilation in the design. The valve disappears into the space yet performs like no other.
DucoVent Premium Trim & Trimless - From almost invisible to completely invisible
The DucoVent Premium Trim and the DucoVent Premium Trimless (by Prado) are essentially brother and sister: the same performance, the same technology, the same comfort - with one crucial difference in how completely they disappear into the ceiling.
Both valves are suitable for both inlet and outlet with a maximum flow rate of 50 m³/h, and both make use of the Coanda effect for diffuse air inlet without draughts. The air is guided along the ceiling and distributed evenly throughout the space. Occupants experience pleasant comfort without any direct airflow.
The difference lies in the degree of integration. The Premium Trim has a minimal installation height and paintable visible components: once finished, it is barely noticeable. The Premium Trimless goes one step further through a ‘trimless’ integration into the plasterwork. No edge, no frame, no visual trace whatsoever. The valve literally disappears into the ceiling.
Technical distinctions:
✓ Diffuse air inlet via the Coanda effect — optimal comfort, zero draught
✓ Paintable — both valves adapt to the colour of any ceiling
✓ Premium Trim: 34 adjustable positions | Premium Trimless: 32 adjustable positions
✓ Connection diameter: 125 mm — both versions
✓ Maximum flow rate: 50 m³/h for both inlet and outlet
In short: choose the Premium Trim when a near-invisible integration is sufficient. Choose the Premium Trimless when the ceiling must form one unbroken, flat surface. In both cases, DUCO delivers ventilation you feel but don’t see.
Why choose The DucoVent Family?
The four valves of The DucoVent Family are not generic products intended to handle every project. Each is the best choice for a specific application, and together they form a complete offering that no competing range can match:
✓ From serial construction to exclusive architecture: there is a suitable valve for every type of project
✓ Aesthetics as a starting point: every valve is designed to blend into its surroundings, not to dominate them
✓ Coanda effect as standard: diffuse air inlet for maximum comfort without draughts
✓ Ease of installation that truly makes the difference: from copy function to magnetic mounting
✓ Seamless integration with all DUCO ventilation systems
The DucoVent Family is not just a range of valves. It is the conviction that good ventilation should be invisible, and that comfort, aesthetics and ease of installation are not opposites, but natural partners.
